Rare Flowers | Welsh Poppy Signet Ring
This delicate and charming signet ring is made in 14K solid Yellow Gold and hand engraved.
The imagery featured in this piece is inspired by the drawings of Dr John Hutchinson, a British botanist who lived in the first half of the XX Century and spent his leisure time roaming the English countryside with his wife in a caravan, describing and drawing wild flowers.
Welsh Poppy - Meconopsis Cambica
A very interesting plant because of its Atlantic distribution, being found only in the western mountainous parts of our islands, growing in moist shady glens from Devon northwards through Wales to Westmorland, up to 2000 ft. altitude; it is also wild in Eire and is naturalized in some parts of Scotland. On the whole it favors calcareous soil. Elsewhere it occurs in Atlantic Europe, as far south as the Central Pyrenees.
